CaseyGerry Joins Other San Diego Law Firms to Participate in Second Chance Fundraiser/Clothing Drive

March 12, 2014 Press Releases

April 4th – Deadline to Donate

SAN DIEGO (March, 2014) – CaseyGerry is once again participating in LAWSUITS – helping to raise cash and professional clothing for the Second Chance Job Readiness Training program. As part of program, San Diego law firms are collecting cash and new or gently used business suits to support the program and its participants. This year’s goal is $10,000 in financial contributions, as well as 400 men’s and women’s suits.

Local law firms are divided into categories – small, medium and large sized – based on their number of legal professionals. Firms in each category compete to raise the most money and the most suits.

At the end of the competition, a winner in each category is honored.

“We are thrilled to participate in this important program,” said CaseyGerry’s marketing director Shari Schenk. “Last year we were able to win in the medium sized law firm division — and we are striving to do so again this year.”

Every year,  hundreds of formerly incarcerated, recovering addicts, and homeless adults and at-risk youth come to Second Chance to learn necessary skills to get and keep a job — and to stay out of jail. Seventy percent of Second Chance participants find employment within four months of graduation. For more information, visit www.secondchanceprogram.org.

Please drop off donations of gently used professional clothing at the CaseyGerry offices at 110 Laurel Street from now until April 4th.
