San Diego attorneys Gayle M. Blatt and Rahil Swigart were recently elected to the California Western School of Law board of trustees.

Blatt is a partner at Casey Gerry Schenk Francavilla Blatt & Penfield, where she heads the firm’s pharmaceutical and class action practices.

She served as liaison counsel for the plaintiffs’ steering committee in In re: Hydroxycut Marketing and Sales Practice Litigation, which recently settled in the Southern District of California, and currently serves as co-liaison counsel for In re: Incretin Mimetics Products Liability Litigation.

Swigart is an attorney at Higgs Fletcher & Mack. She represents and advises businesses in disputes, including those concerning covenants not to compete, breach of contract, partnership disputes and unfair business practices.

In addition to litigation disputes, Swigart assists businesses in transactional matters, such as assisting in selling/buying real estate properties, forming business entities, drafting and reviewing business contracts, and reviewing mortgage and deeds of trust documents.

Both graduated from California Western.

“Their experience as California Western students and alumni, as well as their significant legal and community experience, will bring great value to our work,” said Jeffrey Lewin, board president and a shareholder at Sullivan Hill Lewin Rez & Engel.
