More than 290,000 Patients Affected by Health Center Partners Data Breach

Health Center Partners of Southern California (HCP) reported a data breach last month. The initial report did not include the number of individuals affected. However, the recent article in Health IT and Security, provided an update on the number of patients affected by the breach at 293,516.

The HCP breach is one of many tied to the ransomware attack on NetGain Technology LLC, an IT services provider whose data systems were attacked in September 2020, compromising several of the IT company’s clients, most of who are health care providers.
