Employee and Patient Data Exposed in Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS) Data Breach

Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services (RMCHCS) has reported a data breach that occurred on February 21, 2021, compromising sensitive data of company employees and patients.

According to the company’s Notice of Data Breach, RMCHCS discovered that an unauthorized party had accessed and removed personal data from the network systems. Their investigation revealed that the unauthorized party had gained access to the system sometime between January 21 and February 5, 2021. The files accessed contained personal information of past and current employees of the company.

In addition, according to a report on the company website, the breach may have also affected patients.

Employee information compromised includes, identifying information such as name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, state ID card number, passport number and Alien Registration number was compromised.

Financial and other sensitive data was also accessed including, Health insurance information, medical information, financial account information, and work evaluations.

Patient data compromised included name, date of birth, address, phone number or/and email address, Social Security number, driver’s license number, health insurance information, medical information including dates of service, prescription, diagnosis and treatment, and financial information such as claims and financial account information.
