The law firm of CaseyGerry is investigating problems with Subaru Starlink Infotainment Systems.

Buyers and lessees of the 2019-2023 Subaru models – Outback, Legacy, Forester and WRX have reported partial or complete failure of their Starlink infotainment systems.

Consumers have filed complaints with the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) and on other websites. According to the complaints, the system intermittently freezes and becomes inoperable.

According to Torque News, Subaru ranked 22nd out of 32 automakers in the J.D. Power Study, noting that “customers’ most significant complaint with their vehicles is with Subaru’s Starlink infotainment system.”

The article also reported that drivers listed several issues with the system including, “backup camera freezing/or shutdowns, loss of audio functions, complete system lockup, display shutoff, inability to shut radio/audio off or turn high volume level down when backing up, the radio coming on at high volume when the car is turned on, smartphone favorites aren’t saved, audio/radio functioning is erratic, touchscreen controls are unresponsive, and Bluetooth connectivity issues.”
