Airplane Crashes after Busting into Flames While Landing

Our client was making his final landing approach in a Cessna 172 when the headliner in his aircraft suddenly burst into flames. As the cockpit filled with smoke, he tried unsuccessfully to extinguish the fire with his hand before the airplane crashed and burned on the side of the runway. Just before the plane stopped, our client pushed his wife out of the aircraft and heroically saved her life. He was rescued by firefighters who were fully suited in fire gear for a training video they were filming at the airport.

In a product liability case against the aircraft manufacturer, we obtained a confidential settlement.
