GEICO Drivers License Data Breach

Popular auto insurance provider, Geico, has reported a data breach that occurred from January 21 to March 1, 2021.

According to the April 20, 2021 Forbes report, ‘Hackers Stole Customers’ License Numbers From Geico In Months-Long Breach,’ an unauthorized third party gained access to the company’s system with information obtained elsewhere, and, over the months-long breach, acquired only Drivers’ License numbers.

AmeriFirst Data Breach

AmeriFirst Financial Inc., a mortgage lender based out of Mesa, Arizona, has reported a data breach that compromised customers’ highly private and financial data.

The company, which employs more than 160 people, and generates almost $79 million in revenue annually, determined, on April 12, 2021, that their network system was compromised sometime between December 2 and December 10, 2020, exposing customers’ loan information.
