Michael J. Morphew

Associate Attorney

Michael is an attorney at CaseyGerry working with the Complex Litigation team. He specializes in class and representative actions, and has extensive experience with wage and hour complex litigation. He also has experience evaluating class action data and conducting damage calculations for nationwide class actions.

Prior to joining CaseyGerry, Michael represented individuals as well as local, regional, and national entities in individual, class action, and Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”) employment claims. Michael has track record of successfully informally resolving pre–litigation and legal cases.

Michael graduated Cum Laude from the University of San Diego School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. He also completed the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution’s STAR: A Systematic Approach to Mediation Strategies program. While in law school, he worked for two and half years as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judith F. Hayes (Ret.). Michael also interned for the Center for Public Interest Law and reported on the California Public Utilities Commission and Board of Accountancy activities and compliance with their legal requirements.

Prior to law school, Michael worked at the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site in Colorado. He also worked as a consultant preparing bid packages for multi–billion–dollar engineering and construction projects around the world.

Michael is a San Diego native and when not working, he enjoys mountain and road biking, sailing, and autocrossing.
