CaseyGerry Celebrates the Associates of the Firm

CaseyGerry has held onto the long-standing tradition of fighting for justice with tenacity and integrity for those who have suffered due to the actions of others. The Associate Attorneys of CaseyGerry embody this philosophy, tackling high case loads while applying optimal dedication and passion to each case. 

Several of the firm’s associates came to the firm from different, sometimes opposing practice areas, each drawn to a need to provide top-notch representation for those in need. 

Eric Ganci

Civil Trial Attorney Eric Ganci is a seasoned attorney with over 70 trials defending those arrested in DUI cases. Since joining CaseyGerry, he has been instrumental in attaining the best possible verdicts for his clients. In addition, Eric dedicates himself to learning and teaching the intricacies of California civil law, as can be seen in the CaseyGerry Podcast – The Ganci Law Podcast. His dedication to his practice and knowledge of the law have garnered him recognition. He was recently recognized as a 2024 Super Lawyer, the fourth year in a row (Super Lawyers Honoree 2020–2024) and was a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2016 to 2019.

David S. Casey III 

David Casey III is a third-generation attorney, following in the footsteps of his father, current Managing Partner, David Casey, Jr., and his grandfather, David Casey, Sr. Complimenting a legacy of love for justice, David’s unwavering passion for his clients triumph is a leading example for a new generation of lawyers. David focuses his practice on personal injury and complex litigation, and has been instrumental in securing notable verdicts for his clients. 

His commitment and tireless advocacy have earned him recognition by Super Lawyers as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2024 and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Personal Injury and Product Liability since 2021.

Katie McBain

Associate Attorney Catherine “Katie” McBain is a trial lawyer with a focus on complex litigation including mass torts, MDLs, and Class Actions. She is also part of the Fire litigation team, where she works tirelessly to represent the needs of the victims of some of California’s worst fires. 

Katie brings a refreshing, selfless energy to the firm. She holds strongly to the philosophy that compassion and kindness are as important as relentless advocacy, and she leads the firm’s Pro Bono team ensuring that the voiceless are heard. 

In addition to her work at the firm, Katie is actively involved in the legal community and is currently the Co-Chair for the Lawyers Club of San Diego, Red White & Brew committee. She is also involved with the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.

Samantha Kaplan

Associate Attorney Samantha Kaplan works extensively with the personal injury team. She regularly works with Managing Partner David S. Casey Jr. on complex wrongful death cases, applying her knowledge and compassion to getting the best results for her clients. 

She also works with partner and head of the appellate practice, Jeremy K. Robinson, on motions in several class action cases. 

Samantha is committed to civil rights and the protection of all. During her time in law school, she clerked for U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Berg and with the U.S. Department Office of the Assistant Legal Advisor. She worked for EarthRights International, and for the Torture Abolition Survivor Support Coalition, an organization dedicated to helping torture survivors apply for asylum.

Noah J. Moss

Associate Attorney Noah Moss began his career representing one of the country’s most powerful companies. Unsettled by his experience witnessing the power yielded by corporations over basic human rights, he transitioned to  personal injury and civil rights. 

Noah now specializes in serious and catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and premises liability cases. His belief in fairness and a relentless dedication to the fight for justice have been instrumental in his service to his clients. In 2022, along with Partner Jason C. Evans, Noah secured a $6 million verdict in a tragic wrongful death case. 

Noah is an active participant in advocating for the reproductive rights of women, and sits on the board of Planned Parenthood. He is also a member of the American Association of Justice and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.

Howie Bruno 

Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation Attorney Howie Bruno is an integral part of the CaseyGerry team. Howie joined the firm after working for Big Law in New York, where he focused on complex commercial litigation and environmental torts. He now specializes in personal injury and wrongful death cases. 

Howie has been an advocate for those affected by domestic violence, immigration, and civil rights issues and continues to maintain a pro bono practice dedicated to protecting the rights of those affected. 

He is an active member of the legal community and sits on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. He is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.

Alyshia K. Lord

The newest member of the CaseyGerry legal team is Associate Attorney Alyshia K. Lord. Alyshia has spent her legal career in plaintiff law advocating for those who have been harmed by the actions of others. She has represented those impacted by sexual abuse, premises injuries, auto accidents, and more. Alyshia joined the firm at the beginning of the year, coming from the prestigious Gomez Trial Attorneys, where she managed a substantial caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle collision cases. Her commitment to seeking justice has distinguished her as an attorney who approaches her work holistically, drawing from her experience in litigation to relentlessly pursue optimal outcomes for clients.
