In San Diego more than 500 pedestrians are wounded or seriously injured by vehicle crashes annually. And even worse, roughly 40 percent of the average 50 traffic-related yearly fatalities are pedestrians.
A new report from the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) indicates that more pedestrians died in motor vehicle-related crashes in the U.S. last year than in any other year over the past nearly three decades.
