PAWN America Data Breach

CaseyGerry is investigating a data breach reported by PAWN America Minnesota, LLC, a used-goods retailer with 25 locations across the country.

The company reported a cyber-attack which occurred on September 28^th, 2021. The breach compromised customer information such as name, address, driver’s license number, Social Security Number, and other identifying information.

According to the notice of breach, the company discovered the incident when they started experiencing outages in their network system. Their investigation found that cybercriminals had used ransomware to gain access to their network and have threatened to release the compromised data.
